Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated In-Home Child Care Provider to offer exceptional care and support for children in a family setting. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children while their parents are away.

Key Responsibilities
  • Household Management: Take full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Child Care: Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Foster Care: Provide care for foster children as needed.
  • Discipline: Implement discipline methods as requested by parents.
  • Personal Development: Instruct children in personal hygiene and social skills.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Activity Planning: Organize engaging activities such as games and outings.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals for children.
  • Rest Supervision: Prepare infants and children for rest periods.
  • Transportation: Take children to and from school and appointments.
  • Emotional Support: Attend to the emotional well-being of children.
  • Homework Assistance: Help children with their homework.
Work Environment

This position is based in the employer's home, where room and board will be provided. The work environment is non-smoking and scent-free, promoting a healthy atmosphere for children.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Previous experience in child care is an asset.
