Job Title: Urologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Urologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). As a Urologist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with kidney and bladder disorders.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with a focus on urology. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, including conducting medical research, preparing research papers, and studying the nature of diseases.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements:
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Criminal record check
  • Medical exam
  • Immunization records
  • Eligible for professional liability insurance
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform repetitive tasks. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to work effectively in a team.

Please note that this is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry is required, as well as 5 years or more of experience.
