Job Summary

We are a rapidly expanding, employee-owned consulting firm with a strong presence in Canada and the US. We are seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing geotechnical engineering practice in Calgary and lead the development and execution of geotechnical engineering services to support our ongoing projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management, including project initiation, coordination, and execution
  • Assisting in business development and growth initiatives
  • Mentoring and managing intermediate and junior engineers
  • Planning, overseeing, and executing geotechnical site investigations
  • Conducting site inspections and providing technical expertise
  • Geotechnical design and analysis, including soil and rock engineering, soil dynamics, slope stability, and foundations
  • Reporting and technical writing
  • Site inspection and supervision
Requirements
  • Geotechnical or Civil engineering degree
  • Registered as, or the ability to immediately register as, a P.Eng. in Canada
  • Computer and software skills to complete geotechnical analysis, including GeoStudio, LPile, APile, Settle3D
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel and work in the field as required
  • Valid drivers license and eligibility to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Experience with large civil earthworks construction projects
  • Knowledge of earthen dams and/or tailings dams design, construction, operation, and inspection
