We are seeking a dedicated full-time Logistics Supervisor to oversee our operations.

At Organic Growers Alliance, we take pride in delivering a diverse selection of organic products to esteemed culinary establishments across the nation. Our commitment extends to providing an accessible vegetable box initiative for our local communities. We cultivate a variety of edible flowers, microgreens, vegetables, and herbs, with a particular focus on Asian varieties. Currently, we operate on 25 acres, featuring two expansive poly tunnels, with plans for future growth. This position presents an exciting chance to be part of a rapidly evolving enterprise that fosters genuine opportunities for personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. The Logistics Supervisor will manage the packing and distribution of our products to restaurants, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, maintaining top quality, and presenting our offerings attractively.
  2. They will coordinate with delivery services to arrange and schedule shipments.
  3. Effective time management is essential, as the harvest team will rely on them to prioritize products for harvesting based on delivery schedules.
  4. As the final checkpoint before dispatch, meticulous attention to detail is crucial.
  5. The Logistics Supervisor must comprehend the various specifications required by different restaurants and effectively communicate these to the harvest team.
  6. They will also organize and oversee the flow of products into storage, ensuring cleanliness and order in the storage and packing areas.
  7. Daily checks related to our Food Management System will be part of their duties, including cleanliness assessments and temperature monitoring, ensuring all documentation is current.
  8. They will ensure an adequate supply of packing materials is maintained.
  9. A passion for presenting our products beautifully is essential.
  10. A solid understanding of harvesting techniques and procedures is required, as the Logistics Supervisor may assist with harvesting during slower periods.
  11. Utilization of our online systems for printing picking lists, managing dispatch orders, and generating labels will be part of their responsibilities.
