About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at SPARX LOGISTICS CANADA LIMITED. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Safety and Security: Perform emergency roadside repairs, ensure the safety and security of cargo, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a valid DZ class license and a clean driving record.
  • Communication Skills: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, and possess excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatch and other stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate flexibility, organization, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver or in a related logistics role is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
