Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Shovel Operator to join our team at Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited. As a key member of our Grading crew, you will be responsible for operating a shovel to load, unload, and relocate various materials such as soil, rocks, or debris.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a shovel to execute precise and controlled material handling tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating the shovel, including conducting pre-operation checks and wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the shovel equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience operating a shovel on a Grading crew.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
