Job Summary

CEDA is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our Nanticoke, ON location. As an Industrial Maintenance Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our operations team by assisting with the maintenance and operation of our equipment, including vacuum trucks and high-pressure water jetting units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance and operation of vacuum trucks, high-pressure water jetting units, and other equipment
  • Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor-intensive capacity
  • Perform minor maintenance and checks on equipment
  • Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
  • Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports, and safety documents
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Requirements

  • Valid Class G driver's license with no more than 5 demerits in the last two years
  • 1+ years of experience in an industrial environment is an asset but not required
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Ability to travel throughout Ontario (flexibility in scheduling is required)

  • $23 - $25 per hour with an annual increase on March 1, plus International Union of Operating Engineers local 793 benefits and pension
