We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Support Staff member to join our team at Swagat Indian Sweet and Restaurant. This is a permanent position with a commitment of 35 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining and kitchen areas.
- Deliver clean dishes, utensils, and other items to serving areas while ensuring tables are properly set.
- Manage linen by carrying and replacing as necessary.
- Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and chairs after use.
- Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure all kitchenware is thoroughly cleaned.
- Store dishes and kitchen supplies in designated areas.
- Restock condiments and other essential supplies at tables and serving stations.
- Hand wash and sanitize dishes and utensils as required.
- Keep accurate records of food quantities utilized.
- Package take-out orders and assist in food portioning and wrapping.
- Prepare and finish simple food items as directed.
- Serve customers at counters or buffet setups.
- Maintain stock levels in refrigerators and salad bars.
- Take customer orders efficiently.
- Utilize manual and electrical appliances for food preparation tasks.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely.
- Receive and organize supplies in various storage areas.
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately.
- Sharpen kitchen knives as needed.
