Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and maintain a high-volume case load, ensuring timely and effective resolution of family law disputes.
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials, utilizing strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Engage in telephone and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts, demonstrating a level-headed demeanor and empathetic approach to sensitive family law matters.
  • Perform administrative practice management tasks, including billing and reporting to clients, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Must be admitted to the Ontario Bar.
  • 2-3+ Years Practicing Family Law, with a proven track record of success in family law matters.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Experience in estate planning and/or real estate law would be an asset.
