Job Summary:

The Parliament of Canada is seeking a skilled Librarian to join our team. As a key member of our library, you will be responsible for delivering presentations, providing training, and conducting engagement and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering presentations and providing training to clients
  • Conducting engagement and promotional activities
  • Collating and organizing information effectively for clients
  • Developing instructional library training and online learning products
  • Working collaboratively to develop library training and online learning products

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program
  • Experience delivering presentations, providing training, and conducting engagement and promotional activities
  • Experience in collating and organizing information effectively for clients
  • Experience writing for the web or using Springshare products (LibGuides, LibWizard)
  • Understanding of UX web design and web accessibility principles

Asset(s):

Selection Process:

The selection process may include a second-language evaluation, a written qualifying exam, and an interview with a presentation. Candidates will be required to pass each stage to move to the next stage.
