Your Opportunity:
Alberta's Tomorrow Project (ATP) represents a significant research initiative focused on understanding the interplay between environmental, lifestyle, and genetic factors in relation to cancer and chronic diseases. This project, which has been ongoing since its inception, aims to enhance knowledge regarding the prevention and causes of these health issues by monitoring the health and lifestyles of a large cohort over an extended period.
Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Project Assistant team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with study participants through various communication channels to ensure effective information exchange.
- Reviewing and verifying survey responses for accuracy and completeness, adhering to established protocols.
- Utilizing Microsoft Access and Excel for meticulous data cleaning in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Conducting telephone surveys to collect both qualitative and quantitative data for multiple research initiatives.
- Performing data entry tasks to guarantee the precise input of participant information.
- Assisting in the organization, scanning, and tracking of incoming research materials.
- Supporting the development and assessment of all materials intended for ATP participants.
- Collaborating with various ATP teams, including Laboratory, Data, Research, and Data Access teams, to facilitate project success.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A bachelor's degree in health or life sciences or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, and a self-motivated approach with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with comfort in public interactions.
- A proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A willingness to adapt and take on additional project-related tasks as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience in conducting telephone surveys.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative survey methodologies.
- Experience in clinical, health, or patient-centered research.
- Prior experience in a call center environment.
