About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced instructor to lead our 'Techniques V: Body/Voice/Speech (Microphone component)' course, focusing on performance techniques in relation to technology. This role will provide students with valuable insights into acting for the camera and microphone, equipping them with essential skills for success in media production.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures on voice and performance techniques specific to microphone use.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students throughout the course.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the professor of the camera component to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.

Qualifications

  • Five years of experience teaching acting at the post-secondary level or five years of recent and significant professional acting or directing experience related to the course theme.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary national and international theatre trends.

Additional Information

This is a part-time, regular position. The course schedule will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:30 pm to 5:20 pm for six weeks, starting in September and concluding in October.
