About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Anna DiPucchio. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and exercise.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping and other errands, ensuring they have access to essential items.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. This is not a condition of employment.

Physical Demands
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of weight handling is required.
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with repetitive tasks.

  • Dependability: Dependable and trustworthy, with excellent interpersonal skills.
