We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at H & G Accounting and Taxation Services. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping
- Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Prepare and review financial reports
- Payroll and Benefits
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Process payroll and benefits
- Financial Analysis
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field
- Skills
- Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and QuickBooks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move files and other materials
