About the Role

Ciena Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor, Compensation and Benefits to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing compensation and benefits strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage global compensation programs, including salary, bonus, and equity plans.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure our compensation and benefits packages are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement total rewards strategies that support business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on compensation and benefits matters to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure seamless delivery of compensation and benefits services.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, with a focus on global programs.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compensation and benefits strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the technology industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
