Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our client's team in Windsor. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing estimates for industrial electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare pre-estimate functions, including procuring drawings, reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, visit sites, and make recommendations regarding the quality of the bid opportunity.
  • Prepare project take-off packages, review and identify changes, costs, materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Ensure all projects meet compliance standards (CSA, CEC, ULC).
  • Assist in the preparation of scope definition, contract documents, subcontract administration, and vendor relations.
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical estimating experience.
  • Construction experience in industrial electrical scope or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft, including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with estimating software's - Accubid preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • High level of initiative and keen interest in construction and problem-solving.

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Previous experience in construction estimating is required.
