Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Evaluate and optimize daily café operations to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Monitor and control labour costs, inventory, and supplies to maintain profitability.
    • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve customer experience and staff productivity.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of baristas and café staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality products.
    • Set and manage staff schedules to meet business needs and ensure adequate coverage.
    • Monitor and address staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve skills and productivity.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Financial Management
    • Monitor and control café finances, including revenue, expenses, and inventory management.
    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices for food, beverages, and other supplies.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including food safety and hygiene standards.
    • Develop and implement procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
    Requirements
    • 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a café or restaurant environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
