Mason - Concrete Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mason to join our team at JHANDEWALA MASONRY LTD. as a Concrete Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of concrete construction and repair work.
Key Responsibilities- Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth and even finish.
- Surface Preparation: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a stable and durable surface.
- Work at Heights: Perform tasks at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, while maintaining safety protocols.
- Tool Operation: Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, such as trowels and mixers.
- Training and Development: Instruct apprentices in the art of masonry and concrete construction.
- Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, as well as repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Quality Control: Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and ensure a watertight seal.
- Surface Restoration: Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to their original condition.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required. Permanent employment with 30 to 40 hours per week is available.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
