A FINE BALANCE CAFE & CATERING LTD. is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer expectations.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain consistency and quality.
- Order supplies and equipment to maintain kitchen operations.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to inform purchasing decisions.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
