Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is in search of a dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic. This role is essential for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of heavy mobile machinery and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs on equipment used for excavating and transporting materials such as limestone, earth, and gravel.
  • Conduct lubrication and perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate and assess machinery or heavy equipment to identify issues.
  • Ensure all repairs are executed in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment post-repair to verify proper functionality and compliance with standards.
  • Undertake various mechanical and maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates in their 3rd year of mechanic training will be considered
  • Preference for those with a 4th year and Red Seal Journeyman certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in servicing transmissions, rear ends, running gear, and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and adhere to safety protocols.
  • A proven track record of safety and teamwork is essential. Shift work and overtime may be necessary.
  • Physical requirements include lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
