## Mechanical Designer Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Segula Technologies.
### Key Responsibilities
* Design, specify, and manage the procurement and construction of electrical automation systems and components.
* Lead the mechanical design for large capital projects, ensuring alignment with plant productivity and quality goals.
* Provide technical support to the plant, assisting in pre-studies for effective solutions.
* Oversee procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up of industrial manufacturing equipment.
* Develop detailed mechanical design packages, including functional specifications and estimates.
* Collaborate with operations personnel and internal support teams to meet project objectives.
* Manage external contractors and engineering teams when required.
* Participate in major capital projects from inception to completion, including equipment reception and commissioning.
### Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical diploma.
* 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in multi-part assemblies and pneumatic systems.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
* Strong background in the design, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
* Knowledge of mechanical design standards and strength of materials, with welding procedure experience.
* Proven project management or team leadership experience.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
* French communication skills are an asset but not mandatory.
