About the Role:
Fidelity Clearing Canada is seeking a highly skilled Operations Control Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Control Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our control accounts on a daily and monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile settlement clearing accounts daily and report breaks to relevant departments.
- Reconcile non-mutual fund depository ledgers daily and report breaks to relevant departments.
- Reconcile option accounts with the designated US options clearer and settle cash balances daily.
- Perform daily reconciliation and analysis of internal foreign exchange accounts and foreign currency accounts with the custodian.
- Oversee the Operations reconciliation P&P in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Prepare month-end reporting of unresolved differences to the Finance department.
- Process position transfers/adjustments in the clearing corporations' systems to align with FCC back-office books and records.
- Act as the FCC point person for security master-related inquiries and monitor the security master inbox for client processing requests, vendor inquiries, and pricing files.
- Perform security pricing by manual process and file uploads, adhering to FCC's pricing policy.
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in operations within the financial services industry.
- Prior experience in brokerage and/or correspondent clearing and custody business is preferred.
- Reconciliation of settlement accounts and Broadridge Dataphile knowledge is an asset.
- Two-year post-secondary program.
- Canadian Securities Course or IFIC certificate is an asset.
