About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Dabries Enterprises LTD. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling
    • Provide exceptional care and handling of animals undergoing treatment and surgery
    • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures and ensure the safety and comfort of animals
  • Medication and Treatment Administration
    • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of veterinarians
    • Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Client Communication and Education
    • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide guidance on preventative measures
    • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Office and Laboratory Support
    • Perform routine office management and clerical duties
    • Assist with laboratory research and testing
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field
    • Experience in animal care or a related field is an asset
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
    • Ability to lift and move animals and equipment
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
