Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and participating in therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries and identifying patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations.
- Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and active milieu assessment while assigned to checks, particularly attuned to safety concerns.
- Assist patients in their activities of daily living and provide support in a team-based environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in collaboration with others.
- No experience required; one year patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
