Job Opportunity: Teacher on Call

School District No. 73 (Kamloops-Thompson) is currently seeking a qualified Teacher on Call to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced educator to provide temporary teaching support to our schools. As a Teacher on Call, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of subjects and grade levels, and will work closely with our school administrators to ensure a smooth and successful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels as assigned
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

  • Valid British Columbia teaching certificate
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $64,594 to $106,217, prorated to FTE
