Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Wild Orchid Bistro and Sushi Lounge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our menu standards and quality control procedures.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
Cuisine Specialties:
  • Japanese cuisine, with a focus on traditional and modern dishes.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Hours:

40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
