Role Overview:

The Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is dedicated to providing essential services to the investment and corporate banking sectors, facilitating their transformation through innovative solutions. As part of the Trade Support Unit within the Operations division, the Trade Capture service is responsible for accurately recording transactions in the information systems under the guidance of the Front Office.

Within Société Générale, you will be part of the Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS) team, which oversees financing and investment banking, private banking, asset management, and securities operations. Our teams ensure the integrity and reliability of transactions executed across global financial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Front Office and various support functions, including Middle-Office, Back-Office, Risk, Finance, and Market Activity Indicators Departments. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Modeling intricate Exotic transactions and negotiated events in the information systems, under the direction of the Front Office.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data entered into the systems.
  • Analyzing and resolving discrepancies identified by Middle-Office Control and other stakeholders in the transaction lifecycle.
  • Facilitating communication between the Front Office and other support functions regarding information requests and issue resolution.

You will also engage in various projects and cross-functional tasks within the service:

  • Contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing the security and reliability of the control framework.
  • Participating in impact assessments related to the development of new activities.
  • Assisting in the design and enhancement of production tools utilizing VBA and Python for Booking, Pricing, and Communication.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Financial Markets.
  • Prior experience in financial markets is essential to understand financial products and processes.
  • Proficient in Excel, VBA, and financial mathematics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Language Proficiency:

Proficiency in both French and English is required, as effective communication with colleagues and partners in the United States is essential.
