Role OverviewWe are expanding our team and seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator to join our Remediation division in Edmonton. In this role, you will lead efforts to manage contaminated upstream oil and gas sites, collaborating with a dedicated team of engineering specialists and technical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Drive project initiatives to closure, working closely with Project Coordinators, fellow Project Managers, Senior Project Directors, and Field Technicians.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals and cost estimates, schedule field personnel and subcontractors, and compile data for reports, including conclusions and recommendations.
- Oversee project accounting and ensure compliance with reporting requirements as per WSP's Master Services Agreements.
- Mentor junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), drilling, surveying, and groundwater sampling.
- Ensure adherence to site-specific health and safety protocols.
- Engage with clients to address their needs and facilitate the progress of projects and proposals.
- Collaborate with the Contaminated Sites Management Group to share responsibilities related to health and safety, project management, and client service.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual site models related to upstream oil and gas operations.
- Strong field experience and a willingness to engage in fieldwork as required.
- A solid understanding of Alberta Environmental regulations, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidelines.
