Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Coordinator to support the development and implementation of Indigenous education programs at Assiniboine Community College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with academic schools and post-secondary institutions to design and deliver certificate, diploma, and degree programs that meet the needs of Indigenous communities and industry partners.
  • Program Coordination: Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, students, and stakeholders to ensure the success of community-based programs.
  • Curriculum Development: Ensure that program curricula meet the requirements of the institution, government agencies, First Nations, and other post-secondary institutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Plan and conduct quality assurance visits to ensure the integrity of programs.
  • Program Budgeting: Prepare and monitor program-specific budgets to meet targets.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Post-secondary administration experience, including personnel and financial management, project coordination, or project management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, creative problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Indigenous cultures in Manitoba.
  • Ability: Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously and work occasional evenings and weekends, as well as periodic travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Indigenous Status: Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates.
