Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Desk Analyst to join our dynamic Corporate Service Group in Markham/Thornhill, ON. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented individual to build a strong foundation for their IT career.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with employees at all levels, handling support requests professionally, and resolving issues promptly.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring system security and data integrity.
- Set up and support hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues and providing guidance to users.
- Document and track support requests using IT ticketing systems, maintaining accurate records and escalating priority incidents as needed.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
- A customer-focused mindset, dedicated to providing exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit, willing to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Post-secondary education in computer science or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems is an asset.
- IT certifications are a plus.
