About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Lighthouse Shellfish Ltd. as a Shellfish Harvester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Sanitize Equipment: Clean, sanitize, and dry aquaculture equipment before the next use to prevent the introduction of pathogens and disease.
  • Record Progress: Write daily basic progress reports to ensure accurate tracking of tasks and activities.
  • Stock Management: Transfer stock to tanks in trucks and pack stock in special containers for efficient storage and transportation.
  • Shellfish Harvesting: Dig shellfish from shellfish beds, clean, sort, and pack shellfish for market.
  • Quality Control: Grade and weigh aquaculture stocks to ensure high-quality products.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, in/on water, and in wet/damp conditions.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
