Your Opportunity:
In addition to a competitive compensation package, Alberta Health Services offers a Northern Allowance with an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is calculated on an hourly basis for all hours compensated at the standard rate. Employees working in remote locations above the 57th parallel may also qualify for an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses, up to a maximum of $1,235. This reimbursement covers one round trip per calendar year to any destination within Alberta, originating from a community located above the 57th parallel.
Position Overview:
As the Paramedic Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of paramedic personnel and various community health initiatives. This role involves providing operational guidance and support with minimal supervision, adhering to established patient care protocols and standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic program.
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Advanced Care Paramedic.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Possession of a valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits.
- Completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (test taken within six (6) months prior to application).
