The City of Brampton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Program Director to oversee the strategic direction, operations, and overall management of the youth hub. This is a part-time, seasonal, and temporary position that requires a strong leader to manage a dedicated team, ensure high-quality program delivery, and foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all youth participants.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of staff, including instructors and specialists, providing guidance, professional development, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for the youth hub, ensuring alignment with the City's strategic goals and specific community youth needs.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of specialized youth programs and services, ensuring they are innovative, engaging, and meet the developmental needs of participants.
- Ensure the financial sustainability of the hub by developing budgets and managing resources effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders to support the hub's initiatives and expand its reach.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety, mental well-being, and holistic development of all participants and staff.
- Lead targeted marketing and outreach efforts to promote the youth hub and increase community engagement and participation.
- Monitor and report on program outcomes, community impact, and operational efficiency to stakeholders, with a focus on youth development metrics.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within youth development, mental health services, community services, or a related field.
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple specialized projects and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire staff, participants, and community stakeholders.
- Financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all youth participants.
- A strong network of community connections and an understanding of local resources and youth needs.
