About the Role

Interior Health Authority is seeking a permanent full-time Rural Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Clinician to join the Mental Health Adult Short-Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT) team at our Osoyoos Health Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for adults and elderly individuals with serious mental disorders and/or substance use problems.
  • Provide short-term individual and group psychotherapy, psychogeriatric support, and collaborative community planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure responsive, sensitive, and relevant assessment and treatment services.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies and provide urgent response intervention to individuals in acute crisis.
  • Consult with other care providers and coordinate services for adults and elderly individuals with mental health and/or substance use problems.
