Job Summary

Urban Caves Inc is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer and Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, mixing and pouring concrete, and assisting in drilling and blasting rock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure proper installation.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work in a repetitive task environment, requiring attention to detail and focus.
  • Work a standard 32-40 hour workweek, with occasional overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset, but not necessary.
