Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering nursing care to residents within a personal care environment. Reporting to the Director of Care, the LPN is tasked with administering medical treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and engaging in the coordination of resident care.
Professional Experience
- Preferred recent experience in clinical settings.
Educational Background
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program is required.
Licensure and Certification
- Must possess active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
- BLS certification is essential.
Skills and Qualifications
- Adherence to CLPNM Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
- Understanding of nursing care methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize patient care and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Physical Demands
- Must maintain good physical and mental health.
- Moderate to heavy physical activity is anticipated.
