About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at IT Connex. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will play a critical role in transforming our data into actionable insights that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering and Development: Design, build, and test ETL components to move data, ensuring seamless integration with our data warehouse.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze data to produce actionable insights for business stakeholders, identifying trends and patterns that inform business decisions.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Build new reports and modify existing ones in partnership with the business, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of insights.
  • Operational Support: Monitor and troubleshoot BI components, ensuring optimal performance and resolving issues promptly.
  • Documentation and Change Management: Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, facilitating the deployment of changes through a disciplined change management process.
  • Client Interface and Support: Interface with internal and external clients to determine reporting and insights requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Facilitate UAT and QA testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: College diploma or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in technology and data analytics, with a strong background in data warehousing technologies and concepts.
  • Skills: Deep experience with data warehousing technologies, cloud technologies, and technical development backgrounds. Solid business and superior client interface skills, excellent verbal and written skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with Snowflake, TeraData, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • ETL Platforms: Experience with Matillion ETL, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or SQL Server and SSRS.
