Job Summary

HOME BY IDEAL CONSTRUCTION LTD. is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials.
  • Read blueprints, maps, and specifications to determine work requirements and plan methods or sequences of operation.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight.
  • Complete onboard and other logs.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
  • Prepare accident reports.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment.
Work Environment

This role requires working in various locations, including construction sites and other outdoor environments. The work is physically demanding, and overtime may be required. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
