Position Overview

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a dedicated professional to join our pharmacy team. Under the general oversight of the Pharmacy Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive pharmacy services tailored to meet the medication needs of both inpatients and outpatients. This role encompasses pharmacotherapy monitoring, providing drug information, and patient education.

Experience
  • Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
Education
  • Must possess an entry-level academic qualification in Pharmacy from an accredited Canadian university program or an equivalent qualification recognized by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM).
  • Completion of a Hospital Residency program is an asset.
Licensure
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the Province of Manitoba.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate professional information and manage urgent situations appropriately.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in an Indigenous language and/or familiarity with Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
  • Proficient in information systems technology and pharmacy software.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including fluency in English.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of independent work and flexible in managing schedules to meet demanding timelines.
  • Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Commitment to the mission and objectives of the WRHA Pharmacy Program.
  • Upholds confidentiality in all matters related to hospital and patient information.
Physical Requirements
  • Must maintain good physical and mental health to fulfill the demands of the position.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.

This position may conclude earlier than anticipated based on collective agreement stipulations.
