About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher - Retail or Wholesale Specialist to join our team at Chahine Inc. As a key member of our retail meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Processing: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for further processing or cutting.
  • Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, including wrapping and packaging prepared meats.
  • Meat Handling: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and remove bones from meat.
  • Customer Service: Sell meats to customers, and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of meat products.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers to ensure efficient and effective operation of the retail meat department.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail meat department or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Work in a cold/refrigerated environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working area.
  • Work Setting: Work in a butcher shop, supermarket, or grocery store environment.
