About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hair and Makeup Specialist to join our team at SSENSE. As a key member of our Art Direction team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing a cohesive beauty direction that reflects our brand identity and visual language.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Casting and Art Direction teams to develop and maintain a consistent beauty direction across all productions.
  • Train and coach on-set teams to accurately reproduce beauty looks, ensuring consistency and high standards across all productions.
  • Develop and update beauty direction guidelines and processes to keep in sync with SSENSE's art direction.
  • Oversee daily hair and makeup during shoots to ensure the team is on track and delivering high-quality results that align with studio goals.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of brand identity and ability to curate thoughtful references and create comprehensive reference boards.
  • Ability to translate visuals into techniques and adapt for production efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a wide range of people.
