Job Description

S.i. Systems is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to provide expert tactical advice on data and analytics, data management, master data, enterprise data warehouse, Power BI, and information governance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate Alternative Solutions: Assess and recommend alternative technology solutions to address business issues and improve data management.
  2. Analyze Functional Requirements: Map out information, procedures, and decision flows to ensure seamless data integration and analysis.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Attend stakeholder meetings and prepare relevant documentation to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Documentation and Security: Securely maintain all documentation and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  5. Strategic Recommendations: Contribute to discussion documents, proposals, reports, and briefing materials, and make presentations to senior management.
  6. Interface Documentation: Document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application sub-systems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems.
  7. Technical Design: Define input/output sources, plan for technical design phase, and obtain system proposal approval.
  8. Data Architecture Design: Design, implement, improve, and document the next-gen data and analytic architecture at S.i. Systems, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other D&A components.
  9. Technical Architectures: Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet business and application needs.
  10. Integration and Standards: Ensure integration of all technology solutions and identify system-specific standards for data and analytics development, documentation, testing, and application sub-systems.
  11. Policies and Requirements: Identify and document solution-driving policies and requirements.
  12. Collaboration and Monitoring: Collaborate with Business and IM/IT teams to implement the D&A architecture and its components, and monitor industry trends to align solutions with government and industry technology directions.
  13. Business Intelligence and Information Architecture: Implement Business Intelligence development standards and best practices, and advise on optimizing Information Architecture, Metadata, Reference, and Master Data Modelling.
  14. Reporting and Data Quality: Advise on standardization techniques for enterprise reporting initiatives and data quality solution outputs.
  15. Project Risk and Lessons Learned: Provide expertise in identifying project risks, issues, challenges, and lessons learned from previous Data and analytics, Data Management, Information Governance, and Master Data Management projects.
  16. Tactical Advice and Leadership: Provide tactical advice on Data and analytics, Data Management, Master Data, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Power BI, and Information Governance, and lead the data and analytic team in implementing next-gen data and analytic capacities.
  17. Training and Support: Provide support to employees of the data management team and develop training for delivery to other employees in the organization.
