About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at New Moon Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Garbage and Trash Removal: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, and be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Physical Capabilities: Be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of energy and focus throughout your shift.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week.
