Job Opportunity:

The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Statistical Sciences. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Earn a PhD degree in Statistics, or a related area, with a clearly demonstrated outstanding record of excellence in research and teaching.
  • Establish a strong research agenda that addresses questions relevant to the health sciences.
  • Contribute to an undergraduate curriculum in the health sciences.
  • Teach and mentor students.
  • Develop and maintain an externally funded research program.
  • Participate in departmental and university service.

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Statistics, or a related area.
  • Established international reputation in Statistical Sciences.
  • Strong research and teaching record.
  • Ability to contribute to an undergraduate curriculum in the health sciences.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain an externally funded research program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
