Compensation: $120,000 / year


Role Overview:
As an Information Security Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities within RailWorks' networks, systems, and applications through continuous monitoring of security tools and thorough analysis of logs and data.
  2. Leveraging advanced threat intelligence to proactively address emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  3. Conducting comprehensive analyses of malicious activities, including malware, phishing attempts, and intrusion incidents.
  4. Leading incident response initiatives, encompassing the identification, containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
  5. Implementing strategies to prevent future attacks or lessen their impact, which includes updating or patching systems, configuring security tools, and strengthening network defenses.

Qualifications:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.


Certifications: Holding industry-recognized certifications such as Security +, Cysa+, GMON, GSEC, GCFA, or GCFE is highly advantageous.


Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in cyber security operational tools and technologies such as EDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, etc.
  2. Strong understanding of network and security protocols.
  3. Experience with firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  4. Skilled in network monitoring and packet analysis tools.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of malware analysis, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.

Soft Skills:

  1. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Meticulous attention to detail with the capacity to perform under pressure.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT security or a closely related field.
