Your Role
As an HVAC Refrigeration Apprentice, reporting to the Foreman, you will be instrumental in our growth strategy. You will develop the skills to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing system issues with minimal oversight, learning to apply our methods, practices, and regulatory standards related to the installation and maintenance of modern plumbing and hydronic systems. Your work will involve hydronic, drainage, and domestic water systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Stay informed about current health and safety practices and procedures.
- Promote and adhere to a safe working environment for all.
- Develop and implement task-specific Method Statements, Tool Box Talks, and Risk Assessments.
- Analyze and interpret construction and schematic drawings, technical literature, and equipment specifications.
- Timely update and manage relevant administrative aspects for all projects.
- Constructively analyze, assess, and troubleshoot to resolve issues and develop solutions.
- Utilize your technical, personal, and teamwork skills to complete tasks on time, within budget, safely, and to a high standard.
- Mentor and share skills with team members to enhance effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
- No prior HVAC experience is required; in-house training will be provided by Enersolv.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience with hand tools and methods.
- Pre-apprentice certification in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Familiarity with packaged rooftop AC units and multi-split systems.
- Knowledge of the design and application of VRF/VRV systems from leading manufacturers.
- Valid driver's license.
- Forklift certification.
- Level 1 First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with WHMIS.
