Role Description
Arcadis Canada is seeking an experienced Environmental Field Specialist to join our Resilience team in Ontario, Canada. This role will support our active remediation and environmental projects, coordinating and executing activities assigned by Project Managers.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of instrumentation and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make repairs as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support environmental site assessments, risk assessments, and remediation projects under the direction of a Project Manager.
- Conduct site visits and inspections, monitoring and supervising drilling and/or remediation activities.
- Prepare field notes, collect soil and groundwater samples, and support data tabulation.
- Write environmental reports and provide technical expertise.
Travel Requirements
Travel to sites around Ontario will assume approximately 85% of the time, with opportunities to travel across Canada and the US as part of this role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the environmental field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- C. Tech or C.E.T designation is considered an asset.
