Millwright Technician

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Cam Tran Co. Ltd. as a key member of our manufacturing facility. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various machinery and equipment within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment as required.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals to determine work procedures and perform predictive and operational maintenance on equipment.
- Input, review, and update maintenance-related requests and actions in C-works and other systems as required.
- Communicate with maintenance employees to exchange technical information and facilitate teamwork in troubleshooting and repair processes.
- Repair and maintain all equipment and machines to ensure safe and reliable operation, minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with the OEE Leader to develop work plans for short and long-term projects as required.
- Analyze data trends to implement action plans for predictive maintenance.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and lift trucks, to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
- Operate standard equipment, including multimeters, grinders, welders, verniers, micrometers, cutting torches, and band saws.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Use testing and analysis tools, such as laser alignment tooling and vibrational analysis, to resolve problems.
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts, assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation, and clean and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Construct user instructions and preventative maintenance instructions for machinery as a reference.
- Understand the transformer fabrication and manufacturing process and investigate process improvements.
- Gather quotes and follow up on pricing requests from the Leader.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures while performing duties assigned by the Leader.
- Industrial Millwright License or Registered Industrial Millwright Apprentice in their fourth year.
- Minimum five years' experience repairing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of computer software, such as MSO (project management software), Microsoft Excel/Word, and Outlook.
- Technical training and/or college diploma in mechanical/electrical would be considered an asset.
- Experience with electrical, pneumatics, and controls are preferred.
- Knowledge of transformer manufacturing is considered an asset.
