About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at S&S Homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
  • Hardwood Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Damage Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, removing existing floor coverings and contaminants as needed.
Work Environment

As a Floor Covering Installer, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often on-site at client locations. You will be required to lift heavy loads, bend, and crouch frequently, making physical stamina and endurance essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with frequent handling of heavy loads and bending/crouching
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week
