We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team at Electricenergyonline. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations are efficient, compliant, and risk-aware.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Audit Execution: Lead and perform audit procedures, including issue identification, risk-based criteria development, evidence review, and client process documentation.
  2. Documentation & Analysis: Conduct interviews, review documents, administer surveys, compose summary memos, and prepare working papers.
  3. Issue Identification: Develop and document audit issues and recommendations using critical thinking and independent judgment.
  4. Communication: Present audit and consulting project results through written reports and oral presentations to management.
  5. Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and staff through individual contacts and group meetings.
  6. Professional Development: Pursue opportunities for professional growth, including training and professional association memberships, and share knowledge with colleagues.
  7. Representation: Represent internal audit on project teams, at management meetings, and with external organizations.
  8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management to identify necessary actions and improvements.
  9. Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate organizational risk areas and contribute to the development of the annual audit plan.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 4+ years of assurance experience, with a proven track record in leading a team and conducting audits.
  2. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw logical conclusions.
  3. Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing documents and identifying discrepancies.
  4. Critical Thinking: Ability to think independently and challenge assumptions.
  5. Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to new challenges and changing environments.
  6. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.
  7. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Midstream and/or Utilities industry policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, with familiarity in commodity marketing considered an asset.
  8. Auditing Expertise: Strong knowledge of internal auditing and accounting principles, management principles, and preferred business practices.
  9. Ethical Standards: Working knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics by The Institute of Internal Auditors.
  10. Quality Control: Skill in conducting quality control reviews of audit work products.
  11. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.
  12. Project Management: Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
  13. Certifications: Currently holding or actively pursuing a CPA, CIA, CISA, or an equivalent certification.
  14. Mobility: Class 5 Driver's License with the ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and international).
